The model for this splendid aircraft is the biplane fighter of
the Imperial and Royal Austrian-Hungarian army. In the First World War the Czech
pilots still flew this plane in the service of the emperor. Aviatik D.I.Berg
is also the first aircraft confiscated into the arsenal of the newly established
Czech state.

The construction of this model fully respects the international
rules of the air-combat category for aircrafts from the First World War. On
the basis of this agreement, we also consider it chivalric to deploy a biplane
into the fights (Our Fokker DVIII is a monoplane and so the choice is a totally
unknown type. The drawing is constructed out of clear water, completely digitally
processed. The very simple structure made from CNC pre-processed parts was emphasized
during the construction. Building the structural wings is very simple, because
the model has two completely identical rectangular wings without deflection
- the entire wing is built at once on a flat panel.

The main advantages of the model:
-
simple classic construction made of plywood, balsa wood
and pine.
-
plans and building documentation of the plane completely
computer processed
-
all parts of the fuselage and wings made on CNC milling
machine, so they are very precise
-
very realistic appearance
-
unconventional type of aircraft
-
simple to build - also suitable for slightly advanced
Technical specifications of the model:
-
wing span: 1040 mm
-
fuselage length: 855 mm
-
surface of the wings: 39,2 dm2
-
controlled functions: ailerons, elevator, rudder, motor,
-
Flight weight: 1400g
-
propulsion: OS MAX FS-30, ASP30 or electromotor

Aviatik D-I Berg - Short kit 1:8, CNC milled parts, plans,
markings:
 This
short kit contains all the milled plywood, balsa wood and laminated parts required
to build the model, a printed A0 paper plan in the scale 1:1 for ease of construction
and printed self-adhesive symbols for the Imperial and Royal markings of the
aircraft. For reasons of transport the planar balsa wood are
not included in the short kit; also the undercarriage are made by the modeller
himself following the plans. The short kit is aimed at advanced modellers.
An innovation is the laminate cover of the motor, wing trusses, elektroboard which from now on is
also part of the short kit.
As an optional accessory, it is possible to order
a Solartex printed canvas with the Austro-Hungarian lozenge for a complete
model of the Berg around 4 m of printed and clean Solartex canvas for both the
upper and lower surfaces and fuselage, all for the price of 60 EUR. The resistance
of the print and authentic appearance is perfect, but when using an internal
combustion engine it is necessary to protect the print against fuel after application
with a thin layer of varnish.
Thanks:
